Introduction
New York Rep. Allegations against Santos

Furthermore, he faces allegations of fabricating his biography, orchestrating a credit card fraud scheme, and misappropriating funds meant for a dying dog of a veteran.These allegations paint a picture of someone who has engaged in fraudulent activities for personal gain.
Party pressure and House Speaker involvement
Santos’ party is putting pressure on him to resign, given the seriousness of the charges against him. Meanwhile, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is reviewing the charges before deciding whether Santos should be removed from Congress. If the allegations are proven, it would be difficult for Santos to continue serving as a representative for the people.
