Exchange Rates
At 09:50 (Kyiv time), the dollar exchange rate was 80.2 roubles to the US dollar. Meanwhile, the euro is trading at 87.55.
Reasons for the Fall
The Russian rouble has been under significant pressure in recent months, with Western sanctions, declining revenues from energy sales, and high military spending contributing to its decline. Since the beginning of December, the currency has lost about 20% of its value.
This latest drop comes after the rouble fell to its lowest level in 10 months on March 1st. Analysts predict that the currency may continue to face challenges in the coming months as economic pressures and geopolitical tensions persist.
